By organizing the bi-annual benefit Dining with the Chefs, the Hospitality and Tourism Management students will raise funds to continue helping local families who experience hunger.

Students pair up with sixteen local chefs and food producers from Montgomery County to curate a six course gourmet meal, for 250 guests. These chefs, including Culinary Wizard Chef Ype Von Hengst from Silver Diner, generously donate time and resources to teach CKP students how to recreate dishes from their restaurants. The guests will have the opportunity to meet and dine with the chefs and leading restauranteurs.

The Honorary Oz Chairman for Dining with the Chefs is Richard S. Madaleno, Jr., Maryland State Senator and Gubernatorial candidate.

In addition, this evening will also feature a cocktail hour sponsored by Dogfish Head Alehouse, Maryland Wineries Association, a silent auction and a live auction.

Just like Dorothy needed to follow the yellow-brick road to get home, we need you to follow it back to our campus - for Dining with the Chefs - so we can work together to end the fight against hunger.

As members of The Campus Kitchens Project, we believe that as a community we can inspire others to become more active, more involved, more committed to help people in need.

It only takes a few to chart a path that others are willing to follow. So be a part of the vanguard and march with us down the yellow brick road to a hunger free tomorrow.
